Peter - Owner/President
I purchased Spoke-n-Sport Inc. from Chad Pickard. It is the culmination of a 14-year relationship, and the beginning of a new one. My world has changed around me as S-n-S has grown and multiplied. A couple of years ago, we added winter sports, a true passion of mine. I still enjoy and want to connect people with bicycles. Thanks to all of the loyal customers, and my family who have helped me through this journey. I’m sure we will write some remarkable chapters going forward.
Isaac - Service Manager
I love riding bikes and tinkering with bikes, especially anything steel and singlespeed! I discovered my love of cycling in 2014 and really dedicated myself to it after my car died in 2017, I've been biking to work ever since. When not working on or riding bikes I can be found playing a multitude of instruments poorly or having long drawn out political/philosophical conversations with my girlfriend while building LEGO sets.
Alonzo - Service Manager
When I was 15 I was in a film about bicycle safety with my dad. His brake started rubbing so we took a look at it and tightened down the bolt that was loose. The other cyclist who was helping was the service manager at Spoke-N-Sport. Within a few weeks I was at my first job assembling bikes. 9 years later, I ride almost every kind of bike. Racing cyclocross is where I focus my training. I am currently a board member of Sioux Falls Bike Racing and have spent the last 3+ years building our cyclocross, mountain bike, fat bike and gravel series races. My team Parallel 44 Racing, has the largest junior cycling development program Sioux Falls has ever had and has more women than any other team in Sioux Falls. I have been helping coach the junior program and even host clinics with our ambassador Jacqueline for anyone curious about cyclocross or ready to learn some new skills in the sport.
Ryan - Sales & Retul Bike Fitter
Ryan started his love for cycling back in 2012. After graduating college and moving to Los Angeles he was in need for reliable transportation. A simple fixed gear bike was all that the budget could afford at the time and the California native quickly realized his love for bicycles. As bikes became more and more of a constant in his life the opportunity to work in a bike shop came about in 2015 and enabled Ryan to dive fully into his love for the sport. As he learned from two life long bicycle mechanics, Ryan became an accomplished bicycle racer and technician. In May of 2023 Ryan relocated to Sioux Falls and is excited to bring his passion for bicycles to a new community and has already started a new group road ride on Sunday mornings!
Sonny - Receiving
Born and raised in South Dakota. Being Deaf does not stop me from doing things I enjoy. I love cycling! I don’t like the Winter! My first bicycle tour was in 1995 and from that experience, I was hooked! My life was busy untill 6 years ago and I rediscovered my love to ride again. I have done several bike tours combined over 14,000 miles. The best tour is Pacific Coast: Avenue of the Giants at the Humboldt Redwood State Park in northern California. It was the best scenic ride among the redwoods.
Andy - Service Tech
You will usually find me doing one of these five things: Repairing bikes, sharing a wonderful life with my beautiful wife, selling bikes, playing music, or building bikes. Cycling and everything that revolves around it is a big part of my life and has been for 12 years now.
Mary - Part Time Sales
I'm proud of this photo of me in Sedona, AZ, because of how many attempts it took me to finally ride this section of trail cleanly. I had to overcome both mental and physical obstacles to accomplish this. I look forward to making improvements on my bike handling skills, like cornering faster, drops, jumps and anticipating changes in trail conditions. I'd also like to learn how to manual and/or ride a wheelie.
Lily - Part Time
Hi I'm Lily! I love riding my bike with family and friends. Riding brings me a lot of joy and even if I'm not on a bike, you'll probably find me outside! I love the community that biking brings and I am super happy to be a part of the spoke-n-sport team!
Jamie - Part Time Sales
I enjoy riding for many reasons but the biggest is for fitness. I also ride to release stress form the day to day grind and enjoy nature. Riding a bike is pure freedom from the world, just you the wind, sunshine, music or great conversations with new or old friends.
Patrick - Bike Fitter
I love bikes. All of them. When I turned 40 I turned to the bike because I was fat and unhappy. I rode to work. That led to the road and multi-day tours and century rides and civic policy involvement. That led to triathlons. I found a passion for cyclocross. That led to organizing races with lots of great people in our community. That got me on a mountain bike, which led me to winter fat biking. I have single speed bikes, project bikes, bikepacking bikes, Frankenstein bikes. But best of all, I do this all with my incredible wife Jacqueline Palfy - shown here at our wedding - who loves all those things too. Except triathlon. She hates triathlon. I love bikes. And I love people who ride them.

Bikes are my hobby, bike racing is my passion. Catch me riding on the bike trail, in-town singletrack, or exploring out-of-town gravel. When I'm not on the bike, I'm either working, spending time with family, playing golf, or enjoying other outdoor activities.
